Software-Oriented Quality: Refactoring

The process of code refactoring presented in aims at improving the intrinsic software quality. It has been applied to most classes, leading to more simple, readable and maintainable code. Those classes that have been subject to refactoring were fitted with individual unit tests so as to minimise the likelyhood of `breaking' working code in the process.
